RCR is a 36hr, NYC-to-Montreal competitve road rally that takes place over a single weekend in August 2008. It's the tits, son.
RCR is organized by two well ridiculous chaps: Supreme Commander, diabolical mastermensch behind the water gun assassination tourney Street Wars, and Steve, the plainly-monikered boozenessman who founded the Wii Tennis tourney Wiimbledon.
The rally starts Friday, Aug 15th, at midnight, at Water Taxi Beach -- a popular suds shack and burger joint with a panoramic view of the Manhattan skyline, including the Empire State Building. When the ESB dims its tower lights at the stroke of midnight, drivers and their crew will begin leaving from the parking lot at, rally across Manhattan into Jersey, and then proceed north towards Montreal. Unlike traditional rallies, and in order to ensure the majority of travel is via non-interstate roads, RCR will require teams to stop at four pre-determined rally points.
There's a party in Montreal at an undisclosed location. There will be drinks. It will be rad.
We return Sunday morning, August 17th, starting at 8am.
